Dilgar "Masters of Destruction"

Ah hah, no wonder those ships seemed to die at the hands of the Targraths. On the plus side the Targrath survived shots from three of just about every thing else.

To select three you click on the box next to the weapon, right?

No, that drop down is for determining the firing order of the weapons. Fairly important when firing on a ship with interceptors since you want the interceptors to be used up blocking weaker weapons so that the double/triple damage weapons get through.

So here's what I see.
If the ship has interceptors, the Dilgar is dead. If it does not, then the Dilgar has a pretty good chance to romp.

Hmmm... the EA has interceptors don't they?

very basic assumption. The Dilgar can be just as dead against non interceptor races, such as the Minbari, or from my own battles, Narn. like any fleet it does have weaknesses, but any interceptor fleet can be swamped by dice.

So how would I go for multiple ships of the same type?

In that case, you go over to the Attack Dice column and increase the number. So for example if you wanted to have 3 Tikrit's fire their Heavy Bolters at the same target, just click on the AD column where it says 12 and type in 36 (3 X 12). the combat sim will then go along its merry way blasting the offending ship into scrap.

That wouldn't work against ships with adaptive armour or GEG... also if a ship is crippled its interceptors go offline, traits are lost, etc. So tripling the ADs is not the same as 3 separate attacks.

Burger is right. I just want to learn how to bring merry loads of pain and death upon the opponent in the most efficient way possible.
