Dice for Runequest

Are there any dice made specifically for Runequest? I'd love, for example, a d20 made for hit locations of humanoid characters, animals, etc.

I've been looking for a d3 as well, like a d6 with each number on there twice, 1,2,3. I don't like the real d3. Same for a d2.

What do your groups use for damage with strength mods of d2, d3? It's more fun to not have to do the "maths".

For D2, I use white Ubiquity dice. It's an 8-sided die with 4x"0" and 4x"1". I use 1 to be a result of 1 and 0 to be 2. The red and blue Ubiquity dice don't work for RQ because the probabilities are skewed for the Ubiquity system.

For D3, I have six-siders that have only 1-3 on the faces. I got it from an old Mork and Mindy board game from when I was a kid. You can see the blue D3's at the bottom centre of the image.

I have a d12 with hit locations on it, but I don't recall where from. In fact, I don't recall acquiring it at all: another one of those things that just seems to have added itself to my gamer stuff over the years.

I bought some blank D20s from Chessex, figuring that I'd make some hit location dice for specific body types. That turned out to be less useful than I thought because:
  • * It's really hard to write small locations on the die
    * The paint I used rubbed off after a few uses
    * You have to keep passing the hit location die from player to player
So I ended up just printing some 3x5 cards with hit locations for whatever opponents we had for that game, and passed out a few copies to the players. They could use their own dice and immediately look up the location.

...that link just cost me £20...

I should have warned you. Don't click on it if you're skint!!!!

Too late!!

Well worth a browse though, I felt that the new RQ deserved some nice dice after all these years!

Maybe we should all mail them and see if they would do some RQ Rune dice or something?

I was going to buy from them but they require paypal. No sale.

This sucks because I really want some d6 shaped dice that are effectively d2 and d3.

Less protection for the buyer than the seller gets. I canceled my account after getting screwed by a seller and paypal giving me no help.

Ok, just had an e mail from the diceshop online asking specifically what people would want for specialist RQ dice.

Yes. It is the best dice for RQ, and a D100 into another D100 for opposing rolls, but it is almost impossible.

I saw a set of numbered poly dice with Viking runes around their edges, maybe a Gloranthan rune version would be possible.

There are also 30 basic Gloranthan runes in the core rules, maybe a set of 3d10's with each rune on would be of interest, perhaps in a bone white or crystal style. I'd buy a set just for the novelty value alone. They would need permission of Issaries or whoever holds the copyright first of course.

But a D20 hit location die is only going to be useful for humanoids ... unless you get a huge set of different ones!
