Detonating Explosives

OK, after a recent battle where I herded (through flinching from lots of Morita fire) some bugs over to an area where I had an abandoned Ammo Dump. I then fired on the Ammo Dump with combined Javelin and Sniper fire to detonate it. Worked well, killed 5 out of 6 Guard Bugs that way.

Anyways, discussion afterwards got me thinking.

What about using a Remote Thermo or Plasma Charge. Do you get the explosive effects of both when they go off? Does the Charge go off first affecting any models in the LZ including the Ammo Dump, then if the Ammo Dump is destroyed does it go off next? One downside would bethe explosive effects of the first explosion may push any surviving models out of the blast of Ammo Dump.

Anyways, that could make for some nice tactical moves in denying the Bug Player a location. Place Ammo Dumps around the perimeter of your position. When you can no longer hold it, place Charges on the Dumps and fall back. By announcing your placement of a Remote Charge on an Ammo Dump, you might as well have posted in sign (in Bug-ese) that this is a minefield. The bug player is sure to want to avoid that area, or at least tempt the MI player by throwing some disposable units that way.

What ever was targeted goes off first, hence say you have a remote charge that goes off, if the ammo dump was caught in the blast and is damaged enough to itself be destroyed then it too, goes off and so on and so forth, simple.

Hey Old Soldier! I would have to agree with you on this one.
