Deconstruction of Falling Stars PDF

Weighing in at a massive 636 pages, this PDF is the last resting place for Babylon 5 RPG material.

When it was announced that the licence for Babylon 5 would not be renewed this year, we remarked that we had a veritable ton of material for the game that would never be published. Fans of the game leapt up and demanded to see it - and the result is this PDF!

Inside this treasure trove of all things Babylon 5, you will find complete scenarios and never before published supplements (such as the complete Dilgar Imperium supplement), along with articles and writer's notes that never saw the light of day. We have even squeezed in three of the novels that were written for Babylon 5, but never published - including Baptism of Fire by a certain Miss Claudia Christian!

Thank you so much Matt and MGP team! This is exactly what game publishers should be able to do more of with electronic material. I'll be picking up a copy after my meetings this afternoon and reading through it this evening.

It is going to take you more than an evening to get through this lot :)

I'm in the progress of downloading it!

Thanks to all involved!

No, I need to find a good place to print this all out...

Impressive; very, very impressive!!

I have only had a chance to flick through it so far but The Dilgar stuff is worth the price of the PDF alone :D

You take the words right out of my keyboard.

I have only been able to browse a bit throught that big pile of goodness and was really impressed. The Dilgar stuff alone is already worth the while...

Curious Matt, but on this thread:

http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=567857

You mention it being more than 120MB in size, but DTRPG lists it as 23.9 MB.....

It's still 636 pages though. There's a lot of material in here, which I've only just scanned through currently. There's a good deal of B5 universe flavour material, some adventures, 50 pages on the various First Ones, and a whole lot of stuff on the Dilgar.

I'm currently about halfway through Ms Christian's Baptism of Fire.

My guess would be a drop in the PDF resolution, which really isn't noticable on screen but may be if printed (haven't tried it yet on my home laser).

Matt,

I'm a little surprised (miffed would be a better word) to see "Into the Crucible" included in the PDF.

I thought "Deconstruction of Falling Stars" was all about UNpublished material. Well, "Into the Crucible," the sequel to "Fiery Trial," was indeed published. It's sitting on my bookshelf. And it's the very same adventure that's in the PDF.

LBH, you should have noticed that straight away. If you've already downloaded and looked through it, that is.

Umm, isn't that a bonus rather than an issue? It is not as though it took the place of something else :)

True, although the book version is better since it has pictures. So, it seems like less of a bonus when I look at it that way.

I just thought it might have been included by mistake.

Although I would have rather seen some of the other Signs and Portents articles compiled in its place. Such as the races that were cut out of "Heroes and Aliens" article. (for easy reference) But it's all good I suppose.

That's really nice to hear. I wrote the Dilgar Imperium book (as it was then), but it looked like it wasn't destined to see the light of day due to release schedules and other priorities. The fact that it's out there in Deconstruction is great, and something I'm very happy about.

There was so much published for the Dilgar by Agents of Gaming, I tried to respect that fluff and history as much as I could whilst fitting the Dilgar into the Mongoose B5 universe. It ended up turning into a monster, but then again, it's the Dilgar, so what do you expect?

Well I haven't, though skimming the preview last night I did wonder about mentiopn of the sequel to "The Fiery Trial" Ithought "I have that don't I, it's called "Into the Crucible""

Y'know contrary to popular rumour I do have some semblance of a life outside of these forums and the internet, I'm planning on downloading Deconstruction tonight, now that Matt has chimed in on the 100 MB seeming discrepancy.

(Not omniscient or omnipotent, but damn close to it on these forums)

I just worked three hours just to print the 636 pages and to bind them (two books mind you, the machine at my disposal couldn't handle all in one).

One book with the rules and one with the novels... handy!

At last, I'll be able to read it on paper! :D
