Dash for Damage Dice?

Looking at many of the smaller classes in AoD, I see several gun types that only have a dash for the damage dice. Am I right in assuming that means the only damage they can do is a critical hit if they succeed in a hit with the attack dice? Thanks.

And the official word I got was that the dashes are a misprint. Should be a 1 unless there is a negative number, which means there is still a DD of 1 with a minus that amount to the die roll.
