Darkness Rising - Please download and enjoy

As I think the acknowledgement page shows - many were involved and fed in great ideas, rules , pics, amendments and general comments. :D

Abraxas - Yep I still use it - its great ! 8)

Rabid Child - thanks - Yeah I would love the Shadows to be like that (ok and maybe the Vorlons but I love the Shadows soo much more) :D (esp the fighters!)

Bianichi - thanks - lots of kind comments thus far............

I was thinking about it today. At what point did the history of B5 go rocketing down this alternative leg of the trousers of time. The closest I can work out is that Sinclar/Valin didn't show up with B4, and the vorlons had to step in.

Yeah that was the bit I decided was the privotal moment, although it becomes one of those wierd paradox things I think - B4 does not go back in time so is never built in the same way - in my universe that station is destroyed by Jason Ironblood's evolution rather than the Shadows - even though they actually destroy it to stop it going back. Does that make any sense? Am thinking about extra bits to add - finishing the timeline - more scenarios and some extra fluff about the main characters..........

Some bits remain similar - the final assault on B5 by the Shadows as seen in the alt takes place but later and with Invanova at the con of the Total Victory as the EA fleet joins them.

On a unrelated note - I am thinking about holding a tournment in August next year - would anyone be interested if I made it a Darkness Rising themed one - only the germ of an idea at present and very self indulgent but is it something people would bother coming for? :)

WOW!!

started reading, and couldn´t stop! NICE!

both the story and the ships was great!

I want the "Dilgar lost tribe" in there too though

GJ really!!

Thank you for kind words - have you got more info on the lost tribe of Dilgar - sounds like Battlestar Galatica for the Dilgar - wihich could be an interesting idea!? :)

Funny you should say that...i've been thinking about this too..........
The Darkness Rising timeline indicates that Babylon 4 never made it into the past. We know from War without End that Sheriden stopped the Shadows destoying B4 with a fusion bomb....so if you can stop Sheriden then neither Valan or B4 make it back to last great War.. So the key could be the Great Machine on Epsilon 3 that creates the Time rift.
Probably the most crucial events for the Great machine took place in the Voice in the Wilderness story. It seems clear that had a new caretaker not been installed then the machine would have destroyed itself.
Soooo....what if Mordon had called in an early favor on Londo (in payment for the return of the 'Eye' ) and told him that he should not assist Draal, Varn and Delenn to get back to Epsilon 3.

I don't think the combined strength of the Hyperion and B5 would have stopped the Alien ships from making a landfall. This event would have triggered the self-destruction and Kaa-boom.........History changes in the blink of an eye.......no B4......no Valan...and a scenario from which Darkness Rising could be born..........

Ah well just my idle speculation.....I really should be working :)

Yeah I should be working too !

thanks for ideas, am thinking about it all again now as best way to make it make sense..................as well as Battlestar Dilgar thing - hmm :) as just watched BG Razor last night - excellent work............ 8)

On the topic of the Dilgar and B5 history......Would be interesting if it was Shadow agents who tipped off the Dilgar that Omelos was on its way to becoming a Nova.....and even more so if it was Shadow technology introduced to the star that caused it to become unstable.
...If you really want to see an example of strength coming out of war and Chaos...then the Dilgar war affected many, many races....some who fell....and some who came out much stronger such as the EA etc......
It was over-confidence and pride gained in the Dilgar War that caused the EA to go looking for the Minbari......and create another good war for the Shadows....doubt if they were bothered if it was the EA or the Warrior Caste who came out stronger..........Shadow philosophy would have triumphed.

all very true :) Though I have a sneaking suspicion they would have prefered the Minbari to go down in fire.................? :)

Hmm maybe...but what better slap in the face for the stuffy Vorlons than to have their chosen ones evolve through the Shadow way
:)

Ah, but it is a human that brought us this marvelously entertaining mod

BTW I just got started on Galactica Reimagined. Started by downloading "The Pegasus" in fact... Well, that got me going. Now I really gotta reread the Dilgar part.

Really sounds a fun idea doesn't it 8) - stay in touch - this sounds great :)

Razor was really good and Admiral Cain could work well as a Dilgar Commander?

I recently watched razor too. Yeah, it was great, looove the Battlestar Pegasus. Although I probably shouldn't get used to it... Since its fate is sealed.

Michelle Forbes in Dilgar make up... That should be good. Ensign Ro Laren turned badass?
