Dark Sun

The King

Cosmic Mongoose
Wizards of the Coast didn't stop the Dark Sun saga. I propose Mongoose takes the lead and updates it for 3.5 version.

Any followers?

I think Athas.org has the rights to it. Not sure how far they've come along though. I'm pretty sure I have the news rules a s apdf though, and some other things.

I think DS needs the full-on v3.5 treatment. A unique and brutal setting that is ripe for hardcore roleplaying, or even the muchkinism, powergamer strategists ~ DS can accomidate.

I'd absolutely love to see a true, and faithful v3.5 Darksun book.

Well it seems somewhat complicated because 2 sites are actually licenced to do it but both go in different direction. Perhaps Mongoose could acquire the exclusive rights to this.

... Both Athas.org and Paizo's renditions of Dark Sun are official versions approved and sanctioned by Wizards of the Coast, even if they are mutually exclusive, and provide two different renditions of the setting. Some have argued that the products are not mutually exclusive, but simply refer to two different time periods in the world, hundreds of years apart. Two of the authors of the Paizo materials, Chris Flipse and Jon Sederquist, are on the Athas.org "overcouncil," and are responsible for the much of the development of the Athas.org rules.
