Dark Conspiracy

I really like the Dark Conspiracy setting, and would really like to see it redone. I have read that the company that was redoing it lost the license, and I think it would be great if mongoose redid it.

I loved this game and still have it in my collection. Only got the core book but would certainly buy back into it if it was republished.

"Dark Conspiracy" was a crappy setting IMHO.
I don´t need this, neither "Chill". Everything these games have to offer can be archived with "Call of Cthulhu".

I like CoC, but it has a different mood and feel to it. I like the feel and mood of Dark Conspiracy more, and it was put out by GDW. Not too much of a stretch to use MGT for it, and would give MG a horror setting that could be massively expanded on.

I for one truly miss GDW. Dark Conspiracy is one of the reasons I miss them. A well done update by MGP...

It's doing Traveller:Codename: Veil, which appears to be quite similar in scope to Conspiracy X/Delta Green/The X files, etc.

Problem X-Files and DC, is that the conspiracy is blatant and out there in the face of the players...that all horrors are of supernatural or alien origin...

I would prefer the DG approach in which the vast majority of the population is ignorant believing the world run by the scratch man, UFO cultists, and psychopaths (are merely deranged individuals not someone who has contact with something they cannot possibly comprehend). There was a BBC Drama called the Visitors (I think) dealt with seepage from Dimension N which turned out to a huge fungi like thing at the end and also Paul Darrow's little drama which was DG with the serial numbers filed off...is what I would like to see come out of Codename Veil.
