d66 Life Event Table

So I came across this old thread from 2009. They raised the idea of a larger life event table, maybe a d66 one. But the thread seems to have died before anything happened. Does anyone now if such an expanded table ever was created?

Wouldn't be difficult to create one if not. In fact, I kinda think all the careers need an extended events and mishap table.

I was asking if one had already been created before I went and "re-invented the wheel" as they say.

In any case, I have started to jot down ideas for my own.

The D66 Compendium 2 has one and Spica's Career Book 1 has 2! (The latter is for first edition but I'm sure it'll should transfer across).

Book 10: Cosmopolite has a d66 Life Events table for 1st edition. I don't see any reason why it could not also be used for 2nd edition.

Now only do I know of one, I wrote it. The D66 Compendium 2 has a D66 Life Event Table as well as a D66 event list for every career in the Traveller Core Rulebook, and a whole lot more.

I did, in Book 10: Cosmopolite. It might not be the first one you've encountered, but it could be the first one featuring in an official Traveller publication from Mongoose. Oh, and there are d66 supplements going around.

Book 10: Cosmopolite has a d66 Life Events table for 1st edition. I don't see any reason why it could not also be used for 2nd edition.

The Spica books also include all kinds of alternate Background Skill choices etc. to give you quite a bit of variety in how your characters are created. Oh, and there are new/expanded careers.

Are there ones you like better or are they all equal in your point of view?

Well, since I wrote one of the ones in the Spica book, I am a bit partial to that one...

I think any of them are better than the little 2D table in the core rule book. Since Life Events are rolled on average 1 in 6 terms for ALL characters, having a bigger table prevents multiple characters having the same Event but trying to explain it different ways...
