The scenario, or plot, I am working on involves a massive invasion by the Zhodani via Jewell Sector, as usual.
I have a in game created Duke for Jewell Sector. For years, actually nearly two decades now, he has been building and developing ultra secret Psionically powerful agents.
Of which two of these teams have already been played by actual players, so I have a fair amount of history and plans, etc... worked out.
Anyways, the Duke knows it is highly doubtful that even his Navy will be able to withstand this attack very well.
So what he is thinking of doing is putting together a very elite team, and send them in on their most high tech stealth type ship, with the desired goal of destroying or putting out of commission for as long as possible as many of their heavy Naval Warships as possible to either delay the attack for as many months as possible, or if the attack still occurs, give his own Navy a better chance of holding up to the attack.
I am thinking of allowing my players to create this elite team using the Psionics, Robot, and Cybernetic books for creating their characters. I see this infiltration mission going in three pretty well defined stages, so I think having the players roll up 3 different characters, one for each of these stages, using these rules.
So I wanted to see if anyone has done some Cyber builds, and give me an idea about their effectiveness. I imagine they are pretty dang powerful, and that kind of Cyber would be needed for the mission I have kind of outlined above.
Psionics I am already pretty comfortable with, been using Psi for decades. Robots is pretty easy for me because I have always been into Robots, and ma very knowledgeable about their current development, so feel comfortable making judgments about what is in the Mongoose book.
So Cyber is just a merger of human and robot, so I think I'll do fine getting into the meat of these rules, but outside view points are still a good thing.
