Is it just me, or in the 1st edition it was assumed a ships sensors where good enough to find the range on an enemy?
The new rules state a "declare target and then measure" version. Similar to the 40K universe. Haven't tried the new rules yet and don't know if I'll care later, just thought it odd to be able fly hundreds of light years but not be able to range something a hundred kilometers out.
