Credit Costs of Traits?

Has anyone figured out a workable price value in credits for a Trait? I figured they should all be the same price, since they are valued equally in terms of giving them to one's gangers should they survive. I wanted to be able to create mid-level gangs or City-Def military forces, and wanted to just add the Traits in as an improvement.

My analysis puts Traits at about +$200-250 credits per Trait. So if I bought a punk with 4-5 he'd be worth double, or $2000 CR.

Has anyone worked on this?

That seems a fair bit cheap to me...

kaneblaireau did a comparative breakdown of gang members and some specialists at the gomc1 Yahoo group, I think he calculated 500 for the first trait, with cost increasing for later ones. Join up to see his work.

Or you could use the rules for robots purchasing traits in Death on the Streets as a guide (grouped into characteristic increases and traits), they're 1000 for 1st, 5000 for second, 15000 for third.

GoMC-1 makes sure you fight hard for your abilities!

I'm trying to get a "game design" idea of costs, not a "game fluff" idea of costs. In other words, I want the cost to make of the Trait purely in game terms, not "in this world that would be a tough Trait to get so add 1000 creds for it".

I'd like to make it a bit "generic" to price out using the game in other universes.
