Couple of Questions

Just a couple of questions that have arisen after a game i played today.

1. Where beams hit again on a 6, is it a natural 6 or can it be a 4 and SAP or 5 and AP etc, or does AP/SAP not play a part in this.

2. Where adaptive armour halves the damage, i take it that the 'to a minimum of 1 ' means that a hit will always cause at least 1 point of damage and crew lose, so a single hit is not halved and rounded down to 0?

3. with the critical hit chart, for the amount of damage and crew hits, it says something like +2 for example, is this added to the 1 damage, 1 crew point lost by that hit, or is it added to the damage caused by other hits from that weapon, but not that specific attack dice? i.e, a weapon with 2AD scores two hits, one a normal hit, one a crit. The crit is +2 damage, +2 crew. Does this mean the ship loses 3 crew and damage or 4 points (1 single point from normal hit and 1+2 caused by crit)?

1) If the target number for a beam hit is 6 then yes, a 4 will suffice for a SAP weapon, 5 for an AP weapon. Remember, once the target number exceeds the maximum dice roll plus modifiers then a natural 6 is always a hit. Only natural 6s are guranteed to hit, noit modified ones.

2) You take it correctly.

3) Yes, the +2 or whatever is added to the damage from a base hit.
