Hello all,

The Core Rulebook 1st ed. Spacecraft Design Vehicles and Drones have text on p. 110 and a table on p. 111.
The table lists the following drones:

Mining Drones
Repair Drones
Probe Drones (5)

The text indicates that mining drones come in sets that are 10 tons and cost MCr1.0.

How many mining drones are in a set?

From the table a 100-ton hull would get a single 1 ton repair drone at a cost of MCr0.2. If I wanted five repair drones for the 100-ton hull the total would be 5 tons and MCr1.0 for all of them?

I think I have a handle on the probe drones based on the text and table entries, however to ensure I'm not off in the deep woods here is my interpretation: Taking two tons of probe drones equals ten drones for a total cost of MCr1.0, right?

That's a good question. The missing information is repeated in 2nd edition as well.

But, if you look at the Seeker Mining ship data, it states that it has FIVE mining drones. So it's possible that each mining drone is 2 Dtons each, for 5 for 10 tons. That's as good of a guess as any.

Howdy phavoc,

Thank you for the reply and finding an example for a set of mining drones. Prior to checking out the notification for your reply I made a post the topic on Boarding Actions.

I did check the 2nd ed. Core Rulebook to compare entries with the same result not providing how many mining drones are in a set, but I did not check the data sheets.

Thank you again for the help.
