Conan RPG - Forum Based Play?

Hello All,

I am a huge fan of the Conan system. Well a huge fan of Conan over all.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a web-based forum game that I could join?

I am on RPOL.net but haven't seen any Conan games on there for quite some time.

Any feedback would be great!

I have most of the books, have read an enjoyed them all. I'm a huge REH fan, that was impetus for buying the game books. But, I have never played. Not once. My company moved me to a new area, western Mississippi. A great area, but gaming is pretty low on the list for most people here. So... I would enjoy playing online as well. If this ever gets legs, PM me :)
 
Well assuming both you and Minotaur are in, that's two so far. Half way to the minimum party. If needs be it can be a duo until we can grab more, ala Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser.
 
OK, it's going to be using E6 advancement rules as I feel once we go over level 6 it starts to feel like superheroes. For those who aren't familiar, in E6 you advance to 6th level normally, but then gain one bonus feat for every 5,000 experience. Characters don't ever get to the point where they can hurdle buildings but instead are more versatile and feel more human.
 
My only rule on that is that the characters must know each other and be ready to go. My last play by post took two months to get through the first day in game because of all the attempts to get them together. You know each other and you're in the same place.
 
That all depends on what people want to play. If everyone chooses a Vendhyan we'll probably start there. If everyone makes a thief we'll probably start in the slums of a major city. etc.

Plus a couple of people from other sites, I need to see what they want to play.

I'm going to be running this game over at Obsidian Portal, is that OK with everyone?

Oh, and as a note the following races are added to the race list: Acheronian, Amazonian, Hyperborian, Pygmy, Saami, Vanir (seperate race from Aesir which use Nordheimer stats), and Vistani (gypsy).

The following classes are added: Assassin (from Swashbuckling Adventures) and the Monk. More classes are possible if you ask.

Campaign start: After the New Year. Any earlier than that risks Holiday Season derailment. I can't access Obsidian Portal on my computer at work so I'll post a link to the campaign site when I get home.
 
Everyone who wants to play, please let me know and send me an e-mail at steven.woyach@gmail.com or a pm here. Even though we aren't starting until after the New Year I want to get everyone together on the website so we can discuss what house rules people want to work under, how experience will be generated, rolling rules, and everything else. Thank you.
