Conan PDFs?

I don't know (or can't remember) if this topic has been discussed already in the past, but does anyone know if there are plans for Mongoose to release the Conan AE or any of the other Conan books in PDFs? Or if they have already been released in PDFs?

I have a couple of friends who wants to get the books, but don't have a lot of cash to buy the hard copy books.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi,

DriveThruRPG.com sell Mongoose products in a PDF format, here's the link to their Conan page:
http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=161_211

I bought a PDF copy of Black Kingdoms so I could get the illustrations and print them out, I was quite satisfied with both the sales process and the product.

Drive Thru and RPG Now both are great to work with but be warned. The Mongoose's publishing is especially attractive and espcially tough on ink cartridges. Unless you dont mind a black and white copy of the book you are going to wipe a $30 ink cartridge out printing one of these beautiful books.

These PDF you can download are they Boxed out like the Old DnD modules used to be a Box that basically says Read this to the Players?

I really liked that in the Old modules I was just wondering if the PDF and or the ones you can order use the Same thing, if they have a Players Text to read.

They are identical to the published product, cover to cover.

As to those little boxes. I was always kind of annoyed by them. Their verbage was normally simplistic and kind of hokey.

Right but I can't look at a printed version I was wondering if the Conan modules do have the text or blurbs that say thise Info is for the players?

Depends on the author. If I recall correctly, I think most of the Conan modules have the player info text "boxed" so that you have specific things to read to the players. I'm 90% sure that Lurking Terror uses that style of layout.

O not much but I wanted an adventure that was totally ready to go. Buy it, read it, play it. No re write this or that or have to make up reasons for actions etc etc.

I've been pretty happy with the adventures Mongoose has published.

By the way, just in an act of self-promotion, I'd like to refer you to the sticky at the top of the Conan forums: Conan.com

If you scroll down near the bottom of the first page, you'll see a big post by yours truly where I compiled a list of urls, both to other websites but also links to other threads in this forum.

Down near the bottom is a bold section called Sample Adventures submitted to this forum: which has a list of adventure seeds, threads, and some written out adventures found in these forums. You'll have to do more work than if you buy a Mongoose adventure per se, but it's got more opportunities for you.

I haven't updated this url since August, I haven't been on these boards in a long time until just this week, but I can update this url list any time, either if someone PMs me or responds to a thread like this with suggestions.

Anyways, hope this helps. :)
