Thanks for the info, Geezer. I've got the SE of CtB, but haven't picked up CtD. RS I place in quality between the two...not as grand as Ctb, but not horrible either.
As to Conan's psyche, just one quote will suffice:
"Hither came Conan...with giantic melancholies and giantic mirth..."
They seemed to totally miss that mirth part, didn't they? That's the one reason I like REH better than the pastiches; the other authors are good, but they just don't get they same feel of the mix like Howard could.
And I love CtB...
