[CONAN] Knifefighter

These are modified, Conanized versions of the Knifefighter feat from Players Guide to Faerun.
I already imagine furious knife-fights between pirates and picts rolling into the forest depths....
(NOTE: I purposively put "improved grapple as an Optional prerequisite. I do not want this feat to be used JUST by martial-artitsts-style fighters!)

KNIFEFIGHTER
General
You are an expert at very close melee in grapple.
Prerequisites: Dex 13 OR Str 13, BAB +3 OR Improved Grapple
Benefit: This feat grants you the following benefit:
- You can use a light weapon (or a Small weapon if the Codex rules are used) in a grapple with no penalty.
- You can draw a light (or Small) weapon without rolling the grapple check (but still expending a move action)
Normal: Attacking with a light weapon in grapple usually means attacking with a -4 penalty. Drawing weapons requires a grapple check.
Special: This kind of close combat is diffused among a variety of characters. So this feat can be chosen used as a Bonus Feat by Borderers, Nomads and Soldiers.

FURIOUS KNIFEFIGHTER
General
You are a master in the use of weapons in grapple
Prerequisites: BAB 6, Knifefighter
Benefit: This feat grants you the following benefit:
- If you BAB is +6 or more you can make a full attack, provided that your weapon is already drawn. (you still cannot use two weapons in a grapple)
- If you already have a light (or small) weapon drawn when you start a grapple and you are successful in starting the grapple, you can make an Atk as a free action in the same round.
Normal: Usually attacking with a light weapon in a grapple is a standard action.

Special: This kind of close combat is diffused among a variety of characters. So this feat can be chosen used as a Bonus Feat by Borderers, Nomads and Soldiers.

Optional rule on Light & Small weapons: These feats become incredibly useful if one uses one of optional rules from the Codex Martialis which we are trying to "Conanize" in
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/v...47333&start=135

In particular:
You can use in a grapple NOT JUST light weapons, but even a few one-handed Small weapons:
- Mace, Light
- Cutlass
- Club
- Hatchet
- warhammer (warpick version of the core rules stats, NOT that big maul in the picture).
- Acinaces (players Guide)
- halfspear(Warrior's companion)
- machete (Warrior's companion)
- But one can also use the "Scimitar" even if it is a bigger weapon: its curved blade is very useful in a very close melee.

You can already use a light weapon without penalty in a grapple, yes?

Nope. You take a -4 penalty if attacking with a light weapon. (page 200 of the 2E rulebook)

Oh, it's only that natural or light weapon can be used....one handed weapons cannot be used while grappling.

That's what I was remembering.

Thanks for the correction!

I added the "special" line to these feats.
This kind of close grappling armed combat is often seen in western or adventure movies.
Giving it as a bonus feats to all the classes with the Bonus Feats in their class roster (Soldier, Nomad & Borderer) sounds natural.
