[CONAN] Concentration

[Supplement Four]

Let's talk about the skill Concentration for a moment.

First off, don't you think that Concentration should be based on WIS instead of CON? Keeping one's attention on a task in the face of distraction seems to be more of a mental exercise rather than a test of physical endurance.

If you're running a marathon and pushing through to get to the finish line in spite of every muscle in your body feeling like it will stop working at any moment, I can see the check be CON based.

But is that Concentration?

When I think of Concentration, I think of of a thief disabling a mechanism that allows the roof full of spikes to stop coming down on his head.

Help me understand why CON is a better choice for Concentration rather than WIS.

Your logic is impeccable.
Plus it would not handicap scrawny spell-casters, who need concentration to cast spells in stressful moments.
Good to house rule as WIS based. Stephen hawkings CON is pathetic due to his ALS yet he is able to concentrate and derive massive mathematical formulas for everything.
