The new printing has a round back, like the Bestiary, and includes "The Spawn of Dagoth Hill", a short adventure setting from Ruins of Hyboria.
Printing is less dark, and you can open the book without having pages flying around.
Actually, I hated the 2nd Ed until I got my replacement copy, still using te Atlantean most of the time for bookflipping (except when looking for a new 2nd Ed specific rule). The new binding re conciliated me with the 2nd Ed. Just to show how much a good binding can make a difference... Badly done products don't make you feel like using them.
