Thanx for the update.

So are there any other MRQ products to be released soon?

We're working on them. :) Depending on the interest, we have a few items in the pipleline.

The MRQ modern rules are surely great, but the theme of the game sucks so much from my petty european eyes that I couldn't spend my money on a product that reeks nationalism so much.

Sorry you didn't like it. It is definitely an homage to the old GI Joe comics and cartoon, which were very US-centric. You could make SF 7 a joint task force of the United Nations and change things to give the world a more global feel.

When i first read the original entry and saw that cover i had to look a my calendar first.

Nope, not april fools day today.

That looks sooooo wrong to me...

I have to stop here. To give that topic more words would make it more important than it is to me.

Cheers

Sounds like a supplement is in order: European special forces.

It's good to see MRQ rules applied to other genres besides sword and sorcery fantasy.

I'll have to wait until payday to buy this, but the idea is good.

It's a shame that people won't buy this because of the subject matter - I'd have thought that a Delta-Force/SAS-style game would have appealed to a lot of people.

Even if it doesn't appeal, a supplement that has some RQ rules for a modern setting can't be a bad idea.

Quite true here. The idea of a modern MRQ is really interesting, even if the setting is less appealing to me. Again, the opinion I gave earlier is purely personal and shouldn't be seen in anyway as a direct attack against OtherWorld Creations.

After second thought, the rules might even be what I need, as I'm planning a Vietnam Horror game (not very original, I know...) in a more or less far future. StrikeForce 7 might just do the trick.

I love the Larry Hama stuff! Seems like a fun game!

any chance for a dead tree version? (Though i'd be just as happy with the PDF.)

A dead tree version will depend on demand for it. There's a little right now, but not enough to justify the print run.

Sorry for resurrecting a dead thread, but if anyone has bought this, can they tell me what the modern rules, weapons and equipment are like? Are the weapons/equipment/new rules Open Game Content?

I'd add it to the Demo list myself. Yo Joe. nationalistic or not, looks fun. Besides, I grew up on both sides of the pond. So nothing offends me anyway.

Besides I like the Idea of RQ modern. :D
