A AnotherDilbert Emperor Mongoose Oct 26, 2017 #22 Sorry for derailing the thread. Yup. Click to expand...

C Condottiere Emperor Mongoose Oct 27, 2017 #24 Both probably apply. It's additive if you give the hull a fresh coat of paint. The manufactured composition of the hull would be multiplicative.

B baithammer Mongoose Oct 27, 2017 #25 Both probably apply. Click to expand... Correct. It's additive if you give the hull a fresh coat of paint. The manufactured composition of the hull would be multiplicative. Click to expand... Not even in the real world would that be the definition when dealing with percentages. Manufacturing has additive processes that use layering to create products and subtractive processes where material is removed to create a product.

C Condottiere Emperor Mongoose Oct 28, 2017 #26 The design system is full of holes and inconsistencies. You can go on the assumption that the hull is the default value to be calculated from. Additives like stealth and aerofins tend to specifically show the cost per tonne.
