Dudes. I love a good math argument as much as the next geek, but can we get a dev in here with an official answer, please?

Not even in the real world would that be the definition when dealing with percentages.

Manufacturing has additive processes that use layering to create products and subtractive processes where material is removed to create a product.
 
The design system is full of holes and inconsistencies.

You can go on the assumption that the hull is the default value to be calculated from.

Additives like stealth and aerofins tend to specifically show the cost per tonne.
