How do you keep track of all the 'pins, disarms, knock downs, grabs, bleedings etc' that occur in combat?

Written record? Home made counters/chits? Other?

There is an old thread with a bunch of really good home made maneuvers, including some for ranged weapons. One of the ones I lo e and use in my game is the "taunt" CM. And I make my players come up with a taunt. It's great.

There are also a bunch of CM adaptations for Pankraton wrestling styles that are great. I'm going to bet that Lord HM can find that thread in no time flat...

I use a combination of different coloured gaming stones and pen and paper for tracking. After mostly playing a lot of Savage Worlds recently the amount of bookkeeping required in MRQ2 is a real old-school shock to the system. However, I really enjoy these new combat rules and the extra work is rewarded with some exhilarating play. I simply have to keep the number of combatants down to preserve my sanity. :)

The alternative is to simplify book-keeping for underlings. Although the book has rules for underlings they don't really simplify the book-keeping. That's why I've started using really simplified stat blocks for nameless extras. After my last session I came to the conclusion that tracking conditions and statueses for random trollkin just wasn't worth the effort. Basically all you need to know is when they attack and how many are left.

If you're interested, I've spelled it out on my wiki at http://b5quest.pbworks.com/Underling-Short-Stat-Block
