Collapsible fuel tanks

Mongoose
In a trader with jump 1 and a massive cargo area I am presuming it would be a simple matter to fit up temporary extra fuel tank - to allow another jump.
SO... how much would a collapsible fuel tank cost?

Drop Tank:
a drop tank mount costs: MCr1 per 50 tons of fuel in the drop tank, and takes up two tons of space per 50 tons of fuel for the fittings to transfer fuel.

A drop tank itself costs MCr 0.1 per 50 tons of fuel space.

However, it is also possible to fit extra fuel tanks in a ship's hold. Collapsible 'fuel bladders' and more permanent conversions are both commercially available. Using this system, the ship jumps as far as possible and emerges in deep space. Fuel is then pumped from the extra tanks to the main ones, ready for a second or third jump. This can take time and is not 100% safe, but it does make long voyages possible with a jump-1 ship.

zace66 - AndrewW posted the High Guard prices above for Drop Tanks - no reason the prices wouldn't be similiar...

Ok this is for Classic but I don't see why it won't work for Mongoose Traveller, According to the The Traveller Adventure p.44 Dismountable Flue Tanks can be fabricated at any Class A or B Starport for a cost of Cr 1,000 per ton and takes 10 weeks. to Fit or Remove it takes Apx. two weeks and costs Cr10 per ton for a professional job (on top of other costs such as Birthing and Port Fees) or at no additional cost by the Crew and can be done at any A-D Class Starport or equivalent facility (Better Space Ports or Scout & Navy Bases).

BP.... no need for that, I know who I am :)
I didn't think rubber(or whatever futuristic material) bladder tanks would be the same as external fixed drop tanks. Although the internal ones would need some self sealant between the 2+ layers, they would not need to be protected from atmosphere re-entry or streamlined.

Ooh thanks Sir Brad - thats most helpful. \i think the timing might be out - but then i dont know exactly what a Flue Tank is... and I cant find my Traveller Adventure (which im rather annoyed about - but hey such is life)

Darn Spell Checker has both Flue & Fuel in it.

Now I seam to recall from one of the Authorised Magazines that Dismountables can be disassembled (taking extra time) and stored or transported taking up 10% of their Assembled Dismantlement.

Oops - the prices may be a bit high at that! :D

I was thinking there needs to be fittings (i.e. plumbing - labor plus parts retrofitted to tanks - probably 1~2 tons) and, when not using the whole hold, the price of the bladder...

The fittings should probably be a fixed price per hold (not by tonnage) - with the bladder by ton... CT prices seem too low... probably go with 10,000 for fittings and 100 Cr per ton for bladder...

Cheers BP - I was thinking something like that too - so great to have it confirmed.

As they have Jump 1 trader, it takes 21 tons to jump so would want 21 tons of their 88 cargo space to be taken up with fuel allowing Jump2 (ok 1+1), of course then they could go for jump3.. but need to keep free 2 or 4 tons for the empty bladders.

Job sorted - cheers all.
