Civilian Liner Assembly

I'm looking at assembling a civilian liner.
The two parts of the dome don't fit each other, is that normal?
I was expecting the parts to fit securely into a groove or something?
They rest against each other, but then it doesn't look the same as the pictures?

I had to do alot of sanding to fit mine together, and even then it was nearly a press fit!

Try opening the center section, much easier to trim the inside of that ring then the outside of the hemispheres.

Jay, check you're putting the right hemisphere at the right end, in my experience (I know I haven't built it, but I did check it went together) the two rounded ends are not interchangeable wrt to the mid section.

Ok, just confirming that there are only 3 parts to this ship.?
I've only got 3, can anybody confirm this is the correct amount?
Unfortunately the liner isn't listed seperately in the online store or i would have checked the bits part.

when you get the central hull section, you will find two small lugs front and back that the 2 other halves fit into as well

Welcome Jay, just remember what I said, the two round halves only fit in one side of the central hull. If you have to force it, try the other one first.

wow, no middle? yeah that would make it had to put together...!!!

If you look at hte hull likes it should be aparrent which way they will fit together. The back of mine fit nicely with minimum work, but the front took a bit of elbow grease...
overall, pretty good model though.
