Civilian Cruise Ships painted by WereRogue

I found this blister at my FLGS marked down to $5 for four ships. I couldn't pass it up and thought they'd make good civilian ships. They were some alien ships from the BFG line, originally.

Once I started looking at them, I realized they looked, to myself and others, exactly like cruise ships in space.

So, I present to you the Star Sapphire (blue), Jade Pearl (green), Amethyst Rose (purple) and the converted hospital ship, Redemption (red).

The red dots on the picture side are countered by green dots on the opposite side to represent running lights.

they look great but have you considered a black wash over the metalics?

it would dull the metalics down a little and give a little more definition IMO.

It's already been hit with a wash of black Kel's Magic Sauce. Looks like some of the definition has been washed out by the camera flash, as the details are certainly present on the model.

Negative Dark Angel, they just released some new stuff too.

I don't play BFG (though I do have a large Space Marine fleet, and two smaller Chaos and Imperial Navy fleets), but these ships were too cheap to pass up.

I'm even pondering using a Dark Eldar ship I found as a replacement for the dreadful Hunter model. :)

Hi,
but they have just announced that there will be no more Specialist games releases from GW. So thats it for BFG.

Wow! They even have the flying bases that I was told were out of order! Thanks for the link!

Dark Angel

That's crap. BFG uses GW standard flying bases - the small one (Tau Drones) and the large one (Jetbikes, Land Speeder). They do not have their own type of base.
You can order those bases in the hobby section of the mail order (small/large flying bases).
