Cosmic Mongoose
I;ll admit I do not like this style of ship...But here she is... still trying to figure out a way to make it look less clumsy. And for the life of me, I can't figure out why turrets are at the rear of the ship on the deckplans... The big ping pong ball up front blocks their forward line of fire, and the ship has to really maneuver to get them into firing postion, unless the enemy is along side or behind them...

using this one to work on some battle damage and texturing as well as working with spherical objects...

Plus how does it land with that ball in the way? (assuming it can land on a planetary surface. Or even a starport pad).

A ship with this sort of configuration would be, I think, space-based only. So ground activities would require a shuttle or small craft.

It could just be "docking" with the space stations and using small craft to interface with planets. Also without consulting the deck plans, could the ball have short landing feet that extend out and the body have longer landing gear?
