Chernobyl's Cards

Is there a way to cut and paste different cards on one printout or do you have to print all four from the pdf as is? I'd like to put a variety of ships on one sheet if possible. Thanks

Marcus

if you can put the cards in the CCG type card protectors you should only have to worry over printing them once.

AND will you be leaving up the 1e stuff for those that don't switch over? If not I better start printing all of them now :)

Hey Chernobyl

When is access to your acta2ed lists going to be made available?

The ACTA 2E section of my site will open when I have something substantial to put in it. I'm building pages and getting WAV files at the moment, but without a rulebook or fleetbook in my hands (I wasn't a playtester so I don't have any idea what the new ship stats are, or indeed what the fleet breakdowns are going to be) I can't really work on new cards yet. I'm hoping to be able to get the books in my hands before ConQuest SF, where I can demo 2nd edition. I'll quickly build cards for my demo fleet (some EA ships) if I get the books in time. When I have a fleet to post I'll post it is all I can say right now. Assuming the books arrive at my FLGS on time, look for mid-September.

Storage space on my website account isn't an issue ($15.00 a month buys a LOT of storage) so yeah nothing will come down. All the existing material will remain.

If I've got it right there's about 20 fleets now, so it will be a long road until all the new ships are made into cards. Third Age EA will be first, then probably another of the big 3 (I'm thinking Narn - I'll have to do a Ka'Bin'Tak first anyway, to see what I need to do to display the biggest ship) and then probably one of league fleets. Maybe Pak'Ma'Ra as they haven't had cards at all yet.

Thanks for doing all this Chernobyl! It is a great service you provide and your work is amazing and very much appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

Idea for Chern;

For the 2e cards you prepare, how about doing those that are published in the rules book first - basically a few ships for each race.

Follow them up with what's in the race fleet box (determined by demand), then fill in the blanks.

It means that everyone will have some to start with.

Can i put in a request? Put the Priority Level on the cards as well, ie, patrol, skirmish, etc. Would help my bookkeeping a little!

Its already on there...its designated by the colors...although if you print in black/white you can't tell...but one color printing and then putting in card holders should do the trick as Chernobyl mentioned earlier

This is actually a generic question --- is there some sore of doc, like an XML or something, that we could help the ship mirror sites out with so it's more of a direct job? Just askin'.

Mine has a copy/paste input function, so I can put them in directly from the PDF... I know, I'm a cheater

i'd just like to second this Chern, used the cards in a game last night and found them invaluable!

thanks from Mr ans Mrs Majik!

look forward to your 2nd ed. cards.

the first page of the ACTA section - read the information presented in the window "using and navigating the ACTA cards" It should make everything clear about what's what on the cards (including the colors!)

the 2E cards will have a letter in the colored background to make this a little more obvious.

Thanks for your kind words, guys, hope you find the new cards as useful once I get them done.

One feature I would love is a "bulk" download. Bascily a Zip for all the Cards. It is just easier for me. I make the cards for all fleets becasue I never know who is going to play what.

Thanks for the hard work. I know it is hard to keep up sometimes.
One day I will update my site as well.

its was just about impossible with the first edition cards because the of the drop down boxes for EA missiles and all the text boxes for notes and such, which were copies and paste for ease of production.
put all the pages into one pdf and the text becomes identical in every "name" box for instance, unless I went through and change the name of every box to a unique value. A real pain...

Hey, Chern.

Silvereye brought this up, but you didn't address it. What about starting off with the ships listed in the Rules book.

I have a copy of it now, so if you don't have access to it yet, I could send you all the information.

I was going to modify them myself in Photoshop, but thought that if you were going to do them soon, I wouldn't bother.

Also, I have access to Photoshop and Acrobat, so if you want some help plugging in the numbers when the Fleet Books come out, let me know.

how many different fleets are in the rule book? I'm assuming they aren't complete - some ships are only shown in the fleet book?
