Character Creation

OK, I don't have my book with me and I has looking at character creation before I left home today and now something is driving me crazy.

In the book in the example character creation it seemed that they were giving the character a roll on the Advanced Education table for every term if the character qualified, ie had 10+ Edu or whatever the requirement was. Was I reading that correct? If so is that in the character creation explanation somewhere and I just missed it? Thanks.

The player chooses which table to roll on when making a skill role (Unless a table is specified), the Advanced Education table can be chosen if they meet the requirement.

But do they only get one roll per term of service? In the example in the core rulebook it seemed like they were getting two.

Just a quick look but I think you're seeing the extra skill rolled for gaining a promotion that term.

...that's a pretty harsh event roll there for old A.J. "Ejected by a rival!" while a journalist/entertainer. Ah the far-future, where even desk jobs come with ejection seats that any corrupt rival can trigger

They may get more then one roll, depending on events and promotion.
