Changes for 2nd Edition

From what Matt told us about the 2nd edition and that they wanted to produce an easier system for beginners, I wonder if the system won't do something like Star Wars Saga, especially all this accounting when one PC reaches a new level.

I hope they put in some (or most) of the rules from the Scrolls of Skelos and the feats from the Road of Kings (as adding extra rules in a campaign source book is unwarranted and should be placed in S&P or a book of house-rules).

The Choke feat from Road of Kings is my favorite. In my games is a free maneuver usable to anyone with Improved Grapple (we jokingly call the maneuver: Is Wayne Brady Gonna Have To Choke a Bitch?). I use other feats like: Feign Death, Kick Down the Door, Look What I Can Do!, No Prisoners!, & Unarmed Throw (or just Throw) as special maneuvers. I hope they will follow suit.

Another idea is to remove all synergies and skill booster feats (Alertness, Acrobatic, Deceitful and so on) to help smooth out the game and free up some space for useful things. Folding Spot & Listen skills in to a single Awareness skill will free-up some points for other skills.

I wouldn't mind the synergies going, though I kind of like them.

But the skill booster feats are great. They're probably the most underrated feats in OGL, and in Conan (since it's low magic), they're even better. Realistically, you only need so many combat feats, and since you get so many feats in Conan, it really does behoove you to pick up some of the very cool skill-boosting feats.
