Centauri Changes in fleet

I have the original rule book and armageddon. Are there any changes to fleet stats besides the adding of new ships I should be aware of in my play. I find it difficult as there are so many new rules and things about for this. My friend running earth force has been tearing his hair out as the ships stats keep changing ie hyperions drifting between 2 and 4 Ad for beam weapons etc. Shadows seem to be the same.

Any info I should know or where to look?[/u]

Currently, there are three fleet texts out there, 2 auxiliary fleet texts, and a couple of S&P articles. Of the books, only 2 of the 5 are compelling:

-- 1st Edition, Book 2: Out of date.
-- Revised Edition, Book 2: Also, sadly, out of date.
-- Sky Full of Stars: Mostly accurate. Some ships got small changes, and the EA, Vorlons, and Shadows got an overhaul.
-- The Tournament Pack: Now, out of date.
-- Armageddon: Completely accurate. Remember to check the FAQ for a few "hidden" ship revisions, of which a few are very important. Can't remember any Centauri changes.

Additionally, the Dilgar and Drakh are in their own fleet books.

Originally not considered a critical source, the Signs and Portents have had a lot of new ships show up with a vengeance. I cannot remember any Centauri ships being added, but Signs and Portents has been very active with ships since about issue 40 (IIRC), giving the Drazi three major ships, 3 major Brakiri hulls, one big Abbai ship, a marginal Narn, 2 Crusade EA ships, 1 individual league ship -- the Hurr Gunship -- and a whole new race, the pak'ma'ra. It's getting to the point that you really need to read the latest S&P to keep up with it. And I'm certain I'm forgetting others (I have willfully wiped the memory of a revised Troligan from my skull.)

You can of course look at the various ship viewers:

Of course there is also the obvious.... 2e is coimg out in the next couple of months, which is going to make all the current books redundant....
