This thread is for collecting ideas on how careers from the green books, S&P and other sources can be adjusted to fit them more into the 2300AD setting.
Here my two cents on Book 1: Mercenary. If I don't write about a career path, it can be used without adjustments.
Air Force:
Mustering-Out Benefits table (page 9): Replace Combat Implant with Neural Jack.
Wet Navy:
Mustering-Out Benefits table (page 12): Replace Combat Implant with Neural Sheathing or Neural Jack (if you have chosen the Naval Aviation assignment)
Cadre:
Mustering-Out Benefits table (page 16): Replace TAS. I've not yet an idea with what, maybe a teaching post at some facility.
Events (page18):
Roll 16: replace "the Imperium" with "a national government or an international organisation".
Roll 22 and 55: I'm not absolutely sure if it fits into the background being hired by Aliens (Sung and Pentapods are most likely).
Security:
Mustering-Out Benefits table (page 25): Replace TAS with two Ship Shares.
Events (page 27):
Roll 22: See Cadre Roll 22 and 55.
Striker:
Mustering-Out Benefits table (page 28): Replace Combat Implant with Neural Sheathing
Mishaps (page 29):
Roll 3: Similiar to Cadre Roll 22 and 55.
Wartime Events table (page 34):
Roll 12: Result 1 certainly has to be adjusted, I just didn't have a good idea yet. The same im possible for results 2 and 6.
