If I might offer this news: http://www.sfu.ca/casr/ft-leopard-tank.htm
A couple of paragraphs down, there is this: "Images of M113A3s in Afghanistan have been of poor quality so far. [1] The TLAV’s rooftop remote-control armament has been covered – until revealed, we must assume that PWS (Protected Weapons Stations) have been mounted. M113A3s will act as infantry section carriers. The arrival of tracked LAVs is well-timed – winter rains are turning the Afghan dust into mud."
Also, http://army.ca/wiki/index.php/M113A3 lists several M113 variants that will be in service until 2020, including 3 personnel carrier versions.

So, until there are some Styker or LAV models, I'll probably use M113A3 (if I can find them) for my planned Canadian force.

I stand corrected. :D

It is nice to see other people interested in building up CF units for BF:EVO.

Well I have now located and purchased 4 LAV-25 diecasts in 1/72 scale. Unfortunately they are in UN colours, but nothing hours of repainting can't fix, which gives me 4 LAV-25s and 2 Leopard 2A6.

Which leads to 3 questions:

Is there anywhere that does 1/72 scale Canadian transfers?

What changes do the Canadians make to the Leopard 1 for the C2, so I can model some leopard 1s up.

What changes do they make to M-113s as part of their modernising?

I may be able to put together a 1000 or so points of Canadians to take on my mercenaries next week, and will be sure to post a report.

I must confess that I know very little about the Canadian military, but it seems that they emply relatively large platoon/company formations.

From what I've found (since I haven't followed the M113 upgrading news of the CF), they have the TLAV, which is your stock M113 with upgraded engiens and armour--and they have the MTVL.

The M113 TLAV ia remote weapon station (as is used on the US Army Stryker), or the "1-metre" turret taken from the older Grizzly vehicles. The 1 metre turret mounts two weapons side by side--a .50 cal MG and a 7.62mm MG.

The MTVL is an extended chassis with an extra road wheel, and the same weapon options as the TLAV.

JBOT does CF decals in 1/72 and several other scales.

Revell makes a Leopard 1A5 kit in 1/72, which will give you the right shape of turret and hull for the Leopard C2. Depending on how much work you want to do, you can add some armour panelling to the model to replicate the add-on armour panels.

I'd be very interested in seeing your battle report.
