Can I create Britney Spears and Paris Hilton?

Mongoose
I was always fascinated by the original Citizens of the Imperium supplement that detailed out Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

And I read over the new Entertainer and Noble character generation rules and thought how neat it would be to put these two in game terms - not that this geeky exercise hasn't been enjoyed by hundreds, if not thousands, of others...

Seeing that my ratings are subjective, you'll have to cut me some slack with regard to their ability scores. Britney, during her peak, would be stronger, more nimble, and in-shape, but due to her sloth during the "crazy years" her original ability scores have decreased. I think an EDU of 5 = GED, where a 6 = high school graduate. Pulling this all out of you-know-where. I don't think either of them actually graduated from high-school. I don't have my skills list with me, so I can't be 100% sure I'm listing the specializations correctly...

Spears - Age 26, two "official" terms as Entertainer (but, like the COTI Barbarian, she started her career at age 14... well, much earlier than that, but she must FIT, I say FIT, into game terms!).
68765A
Art (Performance) 2
Carouse 2
Drive 0 (because I always see pictures of her snarling at photographers in her car)
Athletics (Coordination) 1 (Wikipedia says she used to be an "accomplished gymnast")

Hilton (post-jail) - Age 27, beginning third term as Noble (not in the Imperial sense, but as a "celebutante" or American noble)

Carouse 3
Advocate 0

Feel free to add on to this... I'd like to see what folks come up with. Great reading material.

I suspect both should have one less level in carouse, and one level in streetwise or vice... to gain access to their poisons of choice.

Streetwise is the low Social Status version of Liaison. At least Paris will have Liaison, not streetwise. Now their bodyguards/handlers etc, would have the streetwise...

Also, would Britney have Art(Music) and Art(Dance) rather than "Performance"?

EDU does NOT directly translate to a GED or High School Graduate. I would argue that they both have an even lower EDU based on what they say. Paris is blissfully unaware of a LOT of things that the average person should know about. Could be low INT or low EDU (or both).

Any other Celebrities to include? How about Bill Gates or "Dubya"?

Yes, good call on the specializations for the Art skill -- I knew my details would be off there...

Seriously, though. Are there other skills that should be included for these two? For other Entertainer types, you could do Madonna or Christine Aguilera or Jessica Simpson -- although all three of these folks would come across pretty much the same in game terms.

Think about Ted Nugent, however... now he would make a cool character, wouldn't he? Give him Art skills, Advocate skills, and of course Gun Combat (not that he'd be able to use a firearm in a pressure/combat situation... I doubt he's ever had to use a firearm in a home defense situation). His skills would certainly be interesting. I'd like to see someone try this one.

On that note... what happened to the Bow Combat skill for Barbarians back in the old days? Maybe an Archaic Missile Weapons skill might be a cool addition -- you could really flesh out a low tech level world that way to cover boomerangs, atlatls, etc. But maybe this is way beyond the scope of this first round of the rules...

I was also thinking of Steve Irwin. Now, given the old rules, I'd make him a Hunter and take it from there. Not sure how Mongoose is going to handle the "Hunter" character. Not sure how I'd express Steve Irwin in game terms (other than Entertainer with heavy Animal, Advocate, Life Science skills). Maybe Scholar (Field Researcher) ?

There is a list from one of the cons of how to stat yourself in Traveller Terms. If anyone knows where it can be found, that might make a good place to start converting celebrities to Traveller.

I know of one skill that might be a suprise, Jerry Lewis is a master at quickrdraw with an old west revolver. Who would have thought.
