Campaign Questions

I was wondering if anyone could help my play group with an interpretation of the Mercenaries pay rule in a campaign. WE've had a disagreement on how it works in a campaign setting and was hoping someone else could help us with it.

In this example, we will take Gang A and Gang B. Gang A had a rating of 1300, Gang B had a Gang rating of 1400, So gang A decided to field 4x Juves (@25 credits a piece) to bring him to 1400. during the course of the game all 4 Juves were removed from the table due to being reduced to 0 HP.

Interpretation 1: Since all 4 models were removed "as casualties" during the course of the game, Gang A will not need to pay 100 credits out of his winnings to the Juves.

Interpretation 2: Even though the Juves were removed as casualties, Gang A still needed to roll on the Minion injury chart to determine if the Juves "Died" or not. If the roll is successful then Gang A would still be required to pay the Juves from his winnings, if the roll was not successful then Gang A did not have to pay them.

And the same would be applied to any "HERO" mercs as well.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks, CC. I'm assuming that a removed Merc provides an equal number of XP as per regular models in a gang, correct?

That's correct. You get the same amount of XP, whether the target is a mercenary or not.
