Campaign questions

Our B5 campaign is going well, we are in turn 7 and fleets are getting battered left, right & centre, as it should be.
My Drakh have rolled up an event roll of 12, Assistance rendered and have taken proud ownership of a Drazi Warbird. This little ship is proving to be quite a tough customer when fielded with the Drakh and has amassed a load of XP. Now, over the last few turns we´ve been rolling to upgrade her on the Drakh Refit tables, as this is now a "Drakzi" :shock: vessel. Are we doing right? We reckon that this is more in keeping as the ship has obviously defected, and is also more fun as it is being upgraded at the Drakh yards. However, she is turning into 1 mean little vessel;
Self Repair 1d6 (Shadow hull!), Extended range & precise on the beam weapon, Reinforced hull and Stealth 2+. A few more upgrades and she´ll have no resemblance to a Skirmish level ship.
Also, as part of the new owners´fleet do these "adopted" vessels use the owning fleets´initiative?
I played a 5pt patrol game the other day and fielded a whole flotilla of vastly upgraded scouts (they´ve fought in nearly every engagement since turn 1 and many have gained xp by "finishing" the enemy vessels) which, quite literally, tonked the opposition. To me, this is what B5 is all about, the campaign play is fantastic, even though I´ve also been on the receiving end of a particularly nasty Centauri / Shadow hybrid which carved its way through my fleet. Technically, I lost that one, but as my Drakh took out the Centauri Shadow abomination I claimed it as a "Religious victory..." if not actually a tactical one! :lol: Didn´t want the shipyards anyway....

Technically, you should roll on the ship's own race table, but in this case your idea of a defector has a nice ring.

They do, yes. Check out the rules on a combined League Fleet to see which racial traits from the League can be used in a combined fleet, and if you end up with a non-League recruit, use the same logic in determining how they can act.
