Bloody Volcanos!

Sir Brad

Banded Mongoose
OK on the same day I ordered something else from the UK (a couple of days before the Volcano in Iceland Blew it's top) I ordered a Mega-Deal, now a few days ago I got an e-mail from my other vendor that my order hadn't cleared UK Customs before the all the Flights where grounded but should be flying out of the UK within days of aircraft being cleared for flight.

Going throw a clean up to make room for a bunch of books that have arrived in the past fortnight and more that where expected in the next week or so I was packing up my old Lone Wolf Collection (that included some First Printings of books from later in the Series), It dawned on me that my Lone Wolf Mega-Deal in likely siting in the same warehouse as my other package since it's assuredly that it to didn't clear UK Customs in time either.

It's going to be a busy day fro the Packages guy at my local Mail Center as I have two packages from the UK coming in the same day some back of the envelope Maths tells me I'm getting two more from Melbourne one from Perth and an other two from the US, also some of them are quite large (for something that comes Passel Post).

Mongoose publish from the USA now, not in-house. So while the company is UK based, your order will be shipped from the US (unless they hold back orders of stock in the UK to ship out for new mega-deal customers)

Well everything I've ordered from Mongoose in the past couple of Months has come with a UK Post Mark, I think since I'm in a Commonwealth Nation it's cheaper for them to Post and cover the Customs costs if they send it from the UK instead of the US.

Hi all!

My name is Marcus, from Singapore (in Asia).

Been lurking in these boards for a while, decided that this was a post I just couldn't ignore!

Anyway, I bought the Multiplayer Game book about a month ago and it came about 10 days after I ordered it.

I placed an order for the Mega-deal after that as well! That was on 7 April. Sadly, I'm in the same situation, the order has been stuck since the volcano blew it's top. Hope it arrives soon!

Glad to know I'm not the only one outside the UK who has this problem!

The long wait has ended for me, my books arrived this afternoon!

Here's a pic of the old alongside the new.

Well it was ANZAC Day (Day of National Remembrance, the day fell on a Sunday so we where given Monday as the Gazetted Holiday) Holiday hear yesterday (just before 01:00 Hours local time), so no Post, I have my hopes up fore sometime before the end of the week.

Ah Lightmage, what are those hideous things on the right? At least you've got a good copy of Jungle of Horrors :). Unfortunately it would seem that you've been afflicted with a bad case of the american cover illustrations which simply don't live up to the quality of the UK editions :).

Well Friday is well long and gone (now getting on to 01:30 hours Saturday morning) and no Books  long weekend coming up so some time mid next week If I'm lucky

Unfortunately that was all that was available at the local bookstore at that time! Couldn't be choosy!

Are the new hardcovers only available from Mongoose's website or are they available in British bookstores?

They are available online, If you want to save Cash order the Mega-deals, but to do so you must set your Currency selection to US$ the deals that cover books 1-5 and 1-12 will ship all books together (I'm waiting on books 1-12). the deal that covers books 13-32 will ship each book when Mongoose gets it (Book 13 is already out, book 14 is due next month and 15 the month after that), meaning it will arrive on your Doorstep before it find's it's way in to the shops (if only by a little bit).

Well they are arriving, Wednesday my 2nd copies of the novels came and where set aside with the rest of my mail (that no one ever tells me about), then Thursday books 1,2,7&8 came, ran through books 1&2 in just over three hours, then re-ran them again in an hour each.

I plan to re-run the whole series in order as the books come in, hopefully Today and Monday or even better all today for the Kai & Mangakai series.
