Bits and pieces

Is there any way to get a hold of extra spurs of parts? I'm missing some Hyperion engines and dishes and a whole Nova worth of guns. Maybe some other pieces... I'm trying yet again to put all of my ships together...

Best guess would be to contact Iron Wind and/or AOG to see if they'll sell spares. Other than that, you could always try approximating the missing parts with found items or spare bits from other models etc.

Thought that might be the case. I actually found my missing nova peices last night, which made me happy. The saucers on the hyperion should be easy enough to build and the engines cake. Though there used to be weapon and parts spurs available

I don't know how practical it would be to downscale this either for spare parts or an entire ACTA scale model...

Incidentally, the newer Hyperion produced by Iron Wind has a smaller command saucer than the Mongoose version - compare my older model (accompanying an Omega) with my newer one. As far as I can tell from various screen shots, the smaller saucer - slightly larger diameter than a gun turret - is correct.

Good luck modelling the scanner dish on the front of the saucer.

Quite a few of the IWM minis were larger than the Mongoose ones, Primus, G'quan, Balvarin were the ones I noticed, as well as those already mentioned. The Centauri twin turrets were also different.

Ha, that would be funny to use the new IWM bits to replace parts on my Nova. The body and engines are the OLD AoG pieces, half the guns are from Mongoose. It would be like three generations of a single model in one. I found one of my old AoG Omegas as well. Who's bright idea was it to make the turrets seperate? ugh.

I love all the paper models that are out there.
