You're right. All these guys did was pay someone off by virtue of serving within the Imperial Military.

If you sent Andrew Boulton a PM with your e-mail address, you should ha-
ve received an e-mail from Marc Miller informing you about the list and as-
king you whether you wanted to accept the honour or would prefer to opt
out. Perhaps there was a problem with your e-mail account, for example
with the spam filter setting ?

I received Marc Miller's e-mail on the 27th, so perhaps it really was the

I wonder if it was more complicated than that. I returned the email to Marc on the 27th, and I do not appear on the list. There may have been some screening qualifier that we aren't aware of.

This is indeed a bit strange, since the list has its meaning mainly for CotI,
and - if I remember it right - you are registered on CotI, which I am al-
most certainly not - at least I asked for my account to be deleted quite a
while ago.
