Help me, trying to convince my wife that MINIs would make a great valentine gift for me. (if only could get hold of them...rain-check?)
After all, roses + chocolate = minis...right?
Tell her that miniatures gaming is a fun safe hobby where you don't go out drinking, gambling, buying expensive cars that you don't need, and all that other stuff.
Well I tend to think that some of the factors that indicate if something is romantic or not include size (small, or whopping huge), cost (the more the merrier) and practicality (from her point of view how useful are the little plastic men). So I reckon you're right!
It's great to get support from my international fellow gamers. (We have been to Ireland, New Zeland, Australia on vacation aka.- holiday.) I think this will help.
Thank you very much...after all Roses & Chocolate only last so long, minis are forever!
ps. I will show this to my wife (but I believe she already knows this as I have stated my case many (mini) times before! (Lol)
I dropped her off for a 90 minute massage less than 2 miles from my FLGS (an hours drive normally). By the time she was done I'd spent plenty on myself, and was in the lobby of the spa waiting for her

Glad to be aboard.
Update to the Valentine Day thingy.
Just got the wonderful bill for the dozen roses sent to my better half. (we both work in the same office) They were delievered a DAY LATE (due to snowstorm) and look like crap!(looks like they-the roses were frozen)
I was billed $69.02!!! WTF! For 12 roses!!!
I'm gonna have to get at least 2 infantry squads and a tank outta this deal for my V-Day gift...when and if the little buggers ever ship.(this is above and beyond what I already want/need)
Hey, just remembered Monday is Presidents Day...thats gonna cost her another tank! (gotta love them "Hallmark" Holidays)
Come to think of it, I have another idea for another thread...
