Hey. I haven't been here in forever, and I am not sure if this game ever picked up. Last I was around they had kind of dropped support.

Either way, it's a great game and I am going to run a contest to try and boost some interest.

So, I want eto see your best gang themes, and pictures of them as well if you ave them, and I will run a poll to see who gets voted best theme.

The prizes:

1st: You get a dual thruster hover car resin miniature. There just aren't enough of these around and thye go great in GoMC1.

2nd: Set of 3 resin arcade machines for your gang's hideout.

3rd: Resin gun rack with guns to hang up in your gang's hideout.

Kardak's choice: Whichever one I like best will get something that is very hard to find. I got a few of these in a trade and it is what made me want to rn this contest. You get a fully packed, well sculpted resin submarine sandwich for your fatty figure.

So, let's get this posted and see how may responses there are.
 
That's really nice mate.

Hmmm... What's the deadline? And what's the minimum gang size? Does it have to be legal?

I might do a group of fatties, a group of Klegg or my Brit-Cit Wastelands gang. :lol:
 
Yes, gangs should be playable. An all fatty gang of course could be done so long as some of the fatties aren't the specialist, per se, and just regular ganger stats with a fatty mini.

Timeframe is a good idea, I hadn't thought about that.

Three weeks seems good.

Yes, pictures, retionale, and backstory are all welcome and encouraged. I want to know why your gang is the most interesting and that goes far beyond paint job and mini selection.
 
I'd prefer like a month or two, I'm a perfectionist :P. :lol:
Also have to get the minis :P.

They don't have to be Mongoose ones do they? :D

...I want these...Pix up as soon as possible. Can I submit 2 gangs? One that I'm playing now in my house league and a new starting gang? I'm gonna do it anyways...so there...

Cannabalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers. Current Rep. 56.

I'll start at the bottom right of the picture with my boss The White Werewolf and to his left (LT.) Sweaty Dan, above him Jason (Yes, the guy with the hockey mask and chainsaw.) Next to him are the twin juves; Tomax and Xamot.. Behind them Siouxie-Q (an old G.W. Dredd fig) The two cave kids are Kayzar and Moglee...I'm sure you can figure it out. and the guy in the top right is (LT.) 3 Times Handz...you should say it like Arwnold Swartzeneggearw would, it's a little funnier that way...the Werewolves are Gnarles and Barkley in front of them is the mutant shootist Biggie Toes (the only guy I have that can actually HIT and WOUND with a gun of any sort... :lol: :? ) The guy with the pot on his head is named Settle...after an old pothead buddy of mine and the dude covered in blood in the back is my only Specialist, Dr.Butcher M.D. the Med-Tek...I think that's everyone. Questions? Comments?
 
A bit more time sounds fine. So the contest will end on July 30 to make it a month and a half.

to be honest I wasn't thinking about the hard rules, but since questions have come up here are the official contest rules:

Entries must be submitted no later than July 30. Voting will then be opened for one week.

Entries must me legal playable gangs.

There is no size or cash limit. Gangs can have whatever members and gear you give them. This contest is about style and creativity, not how powerful the gang is.

Entries may include minis from any company, not just mongoose. This is mainly because Mongoose stopped making new figs.

Entries should include gang stats, a little gang backstory and preferably a picture. Oh, also what your gang's city block name is.

Each member may submit up to two entries.

I think that covers everything. If I missed anything let me know.

tsk tsk. I don't know if I should add points or subtract them for making a reference to Ka-Zar.

Looks like The White Werewolf is wearing a judge uniform. Is that geenstuff ?
 
He put the conversion on before. It's a Indy Heroclix body with werewolf parts added and some areas greenstuffed for that 'howwwwl Burst out of clothes' effect. :lol:
 
Yup, what he said...also, everyone loves Ka-Zar...Classic. If it makes you feel any better, he is armed with a Cleaver and that is it. Moglee has a Club and nothing else...so, they die in almost every game. :D
 
...So, nobody else is gonna post a pic of there Gangs? Guess I'm gonna win all those lovley prizes 'cause everyone else is lame...

Got no money, no way of getting minis...

I want to do either a full klegg mercenary force or a full fattie force.
Both incorporating GW ones. :?
 
haha, yeah I do have a gang.
I can post some generic gangs. A lot of the gangs I do have are unpainted though. I will post up what is painted.
I went for the ramshackle gang look, like they are all just random punks. You can win this hands down UMW, your work amazes me. Clean, bright painting, like the cartoons themselves and some wonderful conversions I've wanted to do, but you have performed.
It's annoying that the gangs have to be legal. :?
 
Well the idea was to make some awesome gangs and then encourage poeple to try them out. I'm kind of trying to give this game a shot in the arm and encourage people to play. That's why I want the gangs to be legal. Because the contest is not just about how they look, it's about how clever they are and how awesome the theme is.

Looks like it's just us three interested, though. :(
 
Agreed! My second Gang is going to be a Cursed Earth Gang starting list, as this is what I've been working on latley. Not sure about the Gang name yet but my super cool boss mutant is named Fred Savage...pix when I can. I'd love to see at least one other Gang up against mine so I don't have to compete only against myself...Post those Gangs y'all! :D

I have a lot of other things to do.
Painting FLintloque for a 24 hour campaign, painting Wessex games stuff for a demo at a large UK gaming show. :(
Not much time for this kind of thing :(.
