msprange said:Completely re-written, from start to finish.
This edition follows the classic Patron format, with plot hook and alternative developments.

Completely re-written, from start to finish.
This edition follows the classic Patron format, with plot hook and alternative developments.
It is also _much_ larger!

Huzzar!

Or just 760 NPC Backgrounds, since there aren't really any written-out encounters either.DFW said:Bense said:2) They don't have jobs for the players, so they aren't really "patrons" in any meaningful sense.
Yes, a more accurate title would have been: 760 NPC Encounters.

nats said:I wonder, as its a version rewrite, is MTG providing everyone who bought the original version with a free copy of the new version? Otherwise it seems strange to me that they are completely rewriting the entire book rather than just releasing another completely different one. And so, if I buy the version that is out now, will I get the new one also for free? Not that I would probably do that as I dont want the first one from the sound of it but I was just wondering .. if so they must have a bit of a screwy business model to be able to do that kind of thing !! Cant imagine many people would stay in business long doing that these days. Although with something as select as Traveller I suppose it pays to keep the fans loyal.
