BE: Modern Combat vs. Ultra-Modern Combat

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum but look forward to contributing once I get some Battlefield Evolution gaming under my belt.

I just bought a copy of Battlefield Evolution: Ultra-modern Combat. When I came to the MP website for resources I realized that the current versions of the game are BE: MC and BE: WaW.

Am I going to miss out playing with the Ultra-modern Combat rules? I really want to play with the Apocalypse Z supplement so I'm also concerned about compatability with that as well.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Well, they're almost the same really, with some changes... like traits... I suggest finding a copy of either World at War or Modern Combat.

well, the rules are nearly the same. If you're very concerned about playing "the same as everyone else" then I'd return BE/U-MC and get BE/MC.

I guess it really just depends on why you bought it and how you plan to use it.

I think you can download BE/MC for $17, if that'll ease the pain.

it's the old hardback rulebook from the pre-painted days.
