Although the command structure on board (relaying commands verbally between Command Centurion and the Gunner or Pilot) meant that its reactions could be a little slow.

The Heavy Raider is an improved upon version of the Assault Raider. Althought it shares the hybrid Pilot of the newer Cylon craft. It is designed to provide fire support for the lighter Raider, but also it is able to deliver a squad of upgraded and even more deadly Centurions onto enemy ships.
