Battlefield Evo Doubles Tournament - April 7th

I met LBH (and even gave him a lift from the train station) at the first CtA tournament, so it is safe to mention him. :)

And don't worry Mr E - I'm not scary at all....

I remember you, Low Roller and I couldn't play for laughing every time we heard her name mentioned at the table behind us.

Nope, the EAS John F Kennedy.

And the Menelaus.

Oh, and the Promethian.

Um and the Roman....

But other than that, my fleet of five was only crippled....

Hey Shane,

Are you going to be buying your army on the day?

Might be able to lend you some stuff on the day to take the sting from your wallet, if you want.

Do you know what faction you're playing yet?

I'm playing EFTF. I have some of the stuff I'll need already and I'm gonna treat myself to the rest on the day (I got a bonus from work). Thanks for the offer, though.

LOL, no worries saves me getting killed by my own troops :)

I look forward to meeting you on the day

So, someting I have been thinking about.

750 points is quite limiting for force selection. Basically, you are looking at either a mass of infantry with no tanks, or a tank or two and almost no infantry. Now, not taking a tank would be a bad idea if your opponent has got one but you have no way of knowing, so you pretty much have to play it safe.

So my thought is that basically everyone will field a tank or two, and infantry will be an afterthought (except in an anti-armour capacity). Unless one half of a partnership goes armour heavy, and one infantry heavy.

What do folks think? Am I on the right lines, or am I missing something?

Take care,

Shane

That's a bit of an AAV rather than a tank.

reminds me of some female friends who saw some warriors driving down our street and said "ooh tanks" and were then confused when I tried telling them they weren't tanks but Infantry Fighting Vehicles!
