Babylon 5 A Call to Arms is still as popular as ever in the shop, with all of our players eagerly anticipating the next version of the rules.

Recently I have begun assembling a new fleet, initially based on the Brakiri. My first couple of games have been a real steep learning curve... but yesterday saw my first victory!!

A quick write up and photos can be found here - http://www.idgaming.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5913#5913

The battle report is great and like the pics. It is always nice to get a face to some of the members that post alot on the forum. You say you have figured out what the weakness of the Brakiri are. Can we get your take on what that might be. It is always good to hear what others have to say about the different fleets and what their tactics would be if had to do over again.

When I first started with the Brakiri I went for the big shiny stuff (well actually, I went for what I had on the shelf!) and then added extra bits to that... unfortunately having all high PL ships was limiting me, so by adding in lots more of the lower PL stuff has made my life easier... i've got another 4 Haliks on the way, as that little ship really impressed me...

When I get 5 minutes I'll write up an "Admiral's guide" for the Brakiri and examine each ship in turn (or at least what I think of them!)

theres another big ship coming for the Brakiri :D the cidikar. although you should also consider the carrier thats out and definately some Ikortas/Brikortas.

That would be very interesting to me, as Brakiri are the next fleet i want to play.

Love to see the Admiral's guide... especially as in 1ed the Halik never managed to impress me at all. The Arm. brikorta on the other hand...

Might as well wait for 2nd Edition. The changes that have occurred affect the Drakh, my chosen race, in such a fundamentally profound way as to render most of my previous tactics guide invalid.
