Battle dress - useful items missing from previous edition

Cosmic Mongoose
a) Point defense array style (shotgun, vulcan gun, mini gatling laser) as per the vehicle handbook from MGT1.

b) Static shielding or something like that. Add some base value (15 lets say) to armour vs energy/HEAP/explosive weapons. Also from vehicle handbook.

I have to agree with ErinPalette here. I am less than excited to see the push towards vehicles. I understand that the line between a walker vehicle and a super heavy Battle Dress might be thin, but the normal Battle Dress should remain in the Armour section and the upgrades as well.
 
Yeah - I'm I agreement with the gents above. The battledress customization is actually one of the smoothest and most effective systems. Going to spaces/vehicle style would be a step backwards in my opinion - it doesn't need that level of detail.

I get that, but look at Vehicles 5-6, it is just another design system, not the same as the ones vehicles use but a design system nevertheless.

I did like the approach, but it simply didn't work for a few things. Like the larger battle-dress only weapons, mounting vehicle weapons, and so on... There were a lot of inconsistencies (I know - I made a spreadsheet that allowed people to quickly create different battledress types and customize them).

With the slots, it is cleaner, smoother, and allows for people to think about battle dress type vs just give me da biggest :)

I do like all the options from Veh 5-6 though - we need some more back in.
 
Been working on this - added Sensor Suites, Anti-Missile Systems, Camo, Active Camo, and removed references to vehicle scale weapons!
