B5 Ships

Hi I've just bought traveller & the B5 setting. Love the book, but It is really lacking in ship configurations.
Both the Fleet and Ranger platyers have rolled for a ship.
The Ranger has "shuttle" which is easy enough to give them a human shuttle.

The Fleet/Navy Career says "Ships Boat" and comparing the shuttle and ships boat they seem quite different.

Can anyone direct me to a site or send me B5 ships (perhapsa new thread?) or even better could Mongoose flesh out the section a little with downloads?

Also does anyone know if the B5 Traveller project is just going to be a few books or an ongoing project (I'm hoping the latter)

A standard Earth Alliance Transport may be a good choice instead of a ship's boat. The site linked to has other B5 ships, some of which will be in the announced Warships of B5 book.

Beyond this announced book, the B5 line will not be expanded (as far as I know). Mongoose announced that the license will sunset sometime this year (June / July IIRC).

Afraid the former, (and for a few read 3), Mongoose's B5 licence ceases at beginning of June.

Mongoose are producing a Traveller "Warships of Bab 5" for a May release, see "News" however I suspect mostly will be larger warships, one EA frigate is mentioned.

The Bab 5, CTA and the Bab 5 RPG forum on this site are a friendly bunch who I am sure can fill v background. Most shuttles and navy Boats will be pretty similar in capabilities for most of the races, except the "first ones".

The extensive Bab 5 range of RPG books are also still available from Mongoose, I am guessing until June, and contain all the background you will ever need.

what would be really cool are some guidelines in S&P or elsewhere to allow conversion of ships from the d20 line to Traveler, just in case they don;t cover a particular ship that might be needed.

Also: if the license sunsets in June or July, that does that mean the books go off-sale then or can they sell through the remaining stock?

I think they have to pull everything as soon as the license expires. Basically, their license allows them to sell stuff.

That is how it worked with the Traveller licenses when MGT came along.

A Ranger would normally get a Minbari Shuttle, of course. The book has the little Minbari fighter, but not the shuttle?

Thanks for all the responses guys, although I have to say I'm really sad at the news that we're not getting any more.

I did buy the D20 system and it just didn't feel right for B5.
