B5 2nd edition errata?

Okay, I have a serious question about this. Are people really having that hard a time using the conversion pages in the back of the 2E Rulebook? My local group did not have a problem, and from the few e-mails and pm's that I have fielded here to help out have been pretty minor.
What I have to ask is: are people still fluffed up about the lack of the conversion document, the fact that we did not publish one on the website for free download, or are players having a real difficult time converting 1E characters to 2E?
I only ask because this topic comes up now and again here and I have to wonder what exactly our players/readers need to convert 1E stuff?
I will put this here for everyone: if the conversion pages in the back of the 2E rulebook cannot serve a reader or player to do a conversion - drop me a pm here and I will help you out when I get time.
It is an easy process, but I just want to help in any way I can.

Personally, I find we have pretty much enough information for conversion. We don't have a perfect equation in which we can pass anything to get it in a neat and balanced 2nd edition format but I believe whishing for that is not really realistic. Conversion will always require some decision making from the GM.
Here are thing I believe people would like to be able to convert more easily. Of course I may be wrong.
• Prestige classes. Many ca be easily converted but others have features that don't really work within the new system, be it because of influence or other changes.
• Ships. There, we're really on our own. You pretty much have to get Ships of the Galaxy to have stats for ships from 1st ed but not in the 2nd ed rulebook.
• Telepathic powers introduced in supplements.
Personally, the ships are the thing that bothered me the most but since I found Ships of the Galaxy at half price, my personal problem is solved.
The article on Technomages in 2nd ed that came out in SnP was, in my opinion, perfect. It carried the class into the new edition and makes the book virtually 100% usable in 2nd. That was one case where it was just really needed. It would be nice to have something similar for a few prestige classes and such. But like I said, I personally don't have many problems with conversion.

the book says that the leaurning device is removed, on one of the classes says it stays.

The S&P articles have done well for converting characters, particularly technomages, but prestige classes and associated feats, equipment, spacecraft and vehicles all require conversions that we have no clue how to do.
I only expected to get all of that because we were told we'd get it.

sometimes its easy to convert it with the few pages, other times its not. I eaisly converted the Mutai Fighter prestige class (had some trouble on influence), and have a very hard time with Scout Presitge (lot of skills that needed to convert to 2nd had multiple skills it fell under)
