Auxilary Craft and Hangers

I am pretty certain I can understand these rules, but I wanted to double check with the new costs of fighters in a Patrol level.

Example: A Poseidon Super Carrier carries 24 flights of Aurora Starfury fighters. That's 6 points of Patrol level fighters. I know I can swap it out for, say, Thunderbolts. Does the same hold true for Badgers and Firebolts? In the end, I could have 24 Firebolts, or 6 Auroras, 6 Badgers, 6 Thunderbolts, and 6 Firebolts?

If the fighter is available on your list (and the Crusade list has them all) then yes, you can swap any number of fighters for any of the others, unless noted otherwise.

possible fighter swaps are noted in the general description of the fleet.

If my memory serves me well, EA Crusade can freely swap aurora, thunderbolt and Bagders for each other. Firebolt aren't free but (again, if my memory serves me well) cost 1 patrol point for a swap of 4 flights.

Should be like that, same like Centauri Rutarians.

1 Patrol for 2 bases as an indepent wing, and 1 point of patrol for a swap of 4 furies on a ship to firebolts.

You can swap any amount of aurora, thunderbolt and Bagders for eachother on a ship, so yes you can have a mix,

off topic, but if you paid 1 patrol for 4 firebolts, does that mean they all have to be in the same ship, or can i put a firebolt in 4 different hermies?

its a question ive thought of while reading this topic

They can be in different ships.

Same as the Rutarian, you get four "replacement" flights for the price of two "regular" flights. I'm not sure if trading out your Sentris or Starfuries is worth the cost, or if it's better to buy the tastier fighters as indepedant wings. I'm sure some maths-whizz will shed some light on this.

Actually it shouldnt matter.

As you will either end up with 4 Auroras on ship hangars and 2 Firebolts (4 Sentries in hangars and 2 Rutarians for you Centauri) if you buy an independent wing.

If you replace ships you will end up with 4 Firebolts (4 ARutarians) in ship hangars if you replace for a patrol point.

Now both options are actually worth two patrol points. Your personal preference dictates what you actually want. Better dogfighting (Space superiority) do to larger number of bases. Or a more uniform looking bomber squad.

It does get harder when you compare 4 T-Bolt + 2 F-Bolts against 4 F-bolts.

Point wise the difference isnt there. Now this would be something for Triggys point converter.

for centauri players just take Liatis and Dargans(and adiras but bit expensive) as they carry rutarians anyway.

true, although can for 2 raid points buy a balvarin, 2 replacment wings and 4 havens. leaving you 3 raid points spare in standard battles and having a balvarin full of rutarians.

or quite a good raid fleet where theres an 8 ship limit:
liati
balvarin
vorchan/demos + 2 replacement wings
2 vorchans/demos

fast and with 10 rutarians that have dogfight +3

It does, but I can save a skirmish point and get a Vorchan in there, and that has more hitting power than the Rutarians. Of course the Havens can be sacrificed for Rutarian goodness... but I only have models for four flights... :P

Not really common, unless you just like how the Dargan looks. I was always so sad about the Dargan being raid during SFOS. Now its a very viable ship, and sits just right for my taste :D.

Well that is true, but before in SFOS it was pretty much outperformed by the Prefect and the Sullust..... It was a good ship, but just not as good as the others there ^^.
